 BULLEJOURNA101

Welcome to bullet journaling 101! Hope you enjoyed making your own bullet journal from our last tutorial. We thought it would be helpful to do another tutorial on the basic methods  to using your bullet journal.  The bullet journal method was developed by Ryder Carroll. He designed this analog method so you can easily track daily tasks and organize your thoughts. You can use the bullet journal method as a way to organize and keep track of school work, to-do list, simple note taking or even your slime recipe. There are endless possibilities how you can use your bullet journal. Maybe you'll discover a brand new way to utilize bullet journaling and be able to share it with the rest of the community. We will go over the general steps to Carroll's method. Once you understand the basic method you are welcome to design your bullet journal to address your own needs. We hope you will find bullet journaling beneficial and rewarding. Happy bullet journaling!

2. Set up your KEY.

You can choose to write your KEY section on the INDEX page or you can choose to have your KEY set up on another page. If you decide to have your KEY on a separate page be sure to number the page on the bottom and right it in your INDEX.

 . Task

  O Event

  - Note

  *Priority

  X Task Completed

 > Migrated- move to          future log page                      < Scheduled = transfer to next monthly calendar

3. Now you are ready to set up your FUTURE LOG

Open to your next empty page and here you will write out the 12 months. This FUTURE LOG will give you an overall picture of what's in the months ahead. After writing all the months. add the pages and log it on to your INDEX page.

** It is good to get into the habit of numbering your pages as you go.  This will help you with writing in your INDEX.

4. Here we will move on to our MONTHLY CALENDAR. Turn to your next empty page and wright the month on top and the date.  Here you will be able to write down events/tasks that need to be completed for the month.  After setting up your month page you can log the page number onto your INDEX.

5. Lets set up your DAILY CALENDAR. Turn to the next empty page and write the date an start writing down your tasks. Be sure to use the symbols from your KEY to  mark your tasks. At the end of the week you can also go back and check to see if you've missed a task or are there items that needs to be moved to another date.  Remember you can always turn to your KEY if you need a refresher on the symbols.

6. This is an example of how you can update the items in your DAILY CALENDAR. It would be great to get into an habit of going through your DAILY CALENDAR at the end of the week to see if you missed any item or do you need to move the item to your FUTURE LOG or to the MONTLY CALENDAR. Or simply cross out the item if it is not that important to you.

7. At the end of the month you will repeat step 3-5 again. Start setting the next MONTHLY CALENDAR and DAILY CALENDAR.  Write down the month and page number on the INDEX. You'll repeat the process every month
